以埃塞俄比亚Hwassa地区用于路基填料的火山渣为研究对象,在粗颗粒含量和击实功不同时分别取样,进行下击实试验,研究其击实特性. 研究发现,由于火山渣分选性、级配和抗压碎能力均较差,单纯将火山渣作为路基填料难以有效压实. 为改善火山渣填筑路基的整体性和压实度,需进一步优化路基填料的级配体系,对火山渣掺配黏土的混合料进行加州承载比和回弹模量等试验. 结果表明,火山渣和黏土混合料的加州承载比、回弹模量均满足规范要求; 黏土的掺入有利于提高火山渣混合料路基的稳定性、整体强度及水稳定性,火山渣是一种较优的路基填料,可应用于路基工程.

The compaction characteristics of the volcanic slags subgrade filling in Hwassa, Ethiopia are studied by experiments. The samples are taken under different contents of coarse grained soil and different compaction. We find that it is difficult to obtain effective compaction when only volcanic slags are used due to the poor sorting, grading and anti-crushing properties. Inorder to improve the integrity and the compaction degree of sub-grade filling, it is necessary optimize the grading system. The California bearing ratio and modulus of resilience are tested on the mixture of the volcanic slags and clay. The results show that the bearing ratio and modulus of resilience of the mixture of the volcanic slags and clay can satisfy the regulatory requirements. Addition of clay is beneficial to improve the overall strength and the water stability of the volcanic slag subgrade filler. The volcanic slag is a kind of relative optimal subgrade filler.
