摘要:
指出面向普及型系统的个人高性能计算机(personal high performance computer,PHPC)是高性能计算发展的一个重要方向.对PHPC研究的关键问题进行了分析,系统介绍了国产PHPC的发展历程和最新研制进展.该系列系统的研制经历了从KD-50、KD-50-E到KD-60、SD-1(深大-1)以及KD-90三个阶段,实现了在保持计算峰值能力为万亿次规模的情况下,不断减小体积及系统功耗.最终在KD-90上实现一款真正意义的可移动个人高性能计算系统.该系列系统的显著特点在于计算核心采用国产单核或多核处理器,自主研制高性能硬件体系结构,并利用Linux操作系统以及开源软件等作为支撑软件实现了核心芯片设计、基础硬件以及基础软件等关键技术.给出KD-90面向云计算应用的推广型号SD-30(深大-30)的设计思路.
Abstract:
The PHPC (personal high performance computing) system is an important research focus of HPC (high performance computing). The characteristics and key technologies of PHPC are discussed.The roadmap and state of the art of China PHPC development is traced. There are three milestones of China PHPC series,namely KD-50/KD-50-E,KD-60/SD-l and KD-90. These PHPCs kept peak performance at 1 T flops while reduced the physical sizes and power consumptions. The KD-90 PHPC system eventually achieved the portability with the size of “microwave oven”. All these PHPCs were built with mono-core or multi-core Loongson CPUs designed in China.The modified Linux and other open-source software were used for these PHPCs’ high performance architecture,hardware platform and underlying system software. The design of SD-30 is proposed,which is an enhanced KD-90 with cloud computing capacities, is proposed.
